You clearly want to throw down, Headbutt. See you at the saloon at high noon.

Isn't there some trivia question involving Brett and the last player to play in Class C ball to make the majors?

BTW, Ken Brett was hoping to make that list, too, Chris.

I was hoping this thread would be called "Baseball Thread 5 with Eddie Layton on his organ."

My first trip to Cooperstown was 10 years ago to see Brett inducted into the HOF. What a hot, steamy, gloriously fun afternoon that was.

If a pitcher commits an error allowing a runner to get on base and that player eventually scores, is it an earned or unearned run?

Unearned, since as soon as the pitch is thrown he's now a fielder.

Ah, interleague baseball, and the annual rooting-interest conflicts it creates ...

As a Sox fan, I should root for the Cubs to beat the Tigers. They're in first place.

As a Sox fan, I need the Tigers to start losing games.

As a Sox fan, my team needs to make up ground in the AL Central.

    But today, it's a no-brainer. GO TIGERS!

Anybody watching Tigers-Cubs? I was told that Miguel Cabrera was robbed of a home run by a blown call and the Tigers failed to ask for a replay.

IIRC, teams can't ask for a replay. Only the crew chief can call for a replay.
