    Probably because he knees were shot after playing on that Olympic Stadium concrete AstroTurf.

    There's no question Olympic Stadium hurt him. If he had played in Jarry Parque, he would've put up even better numbers.

    George Will had the story in Men at Work about Dawson crashing into the brick wall to catch a foul ball during a late-season game with the Cubs out of the race and the game not in doubt. A writer asked him why he would risk injury to get to the ball in that situation, and Dawson's response was:

    "Because it was in play."
