    Both errors were on throws but the batters were credited with infield hits. Thus, the errors allowed runners to advance but in neither case would the error have resulted in the third out.
    Therefore, when Lily gives up the triple, all runs are earned because they would have scored regardless of the throwing errors.

    Yeah, I was just about to retract my question. The Pittsburgh radio guys initially said the plays were scored as straight errors, not as hits and errors, which is why I was confused. Makes sense now.
