    Do you really think he could change the minds of any of those people at this point anyway? He has absolutely nothing to gain here, so he might as well do whatever he damn well pleases. Which is pretty much what he has always done anyway.

    You can't change a life time's worth of petulance with a single act of thoughtfulness. Whatever Bonds' reputation is with fans, the media and his peers, is one he's made himself.

    During the players strike, no forced him to go to court to try to reduce his child support payments.

    I never once said he didn't earn much of the hatred. I'm just saying that it's not going to change now, so why would anybody expect him to change his behavior now?
