The police are in a no win situation, but there's a complete vacuum of leadership in Baltimore right now.

The Mayor is MIA. The police commissioner is MIA.

The Baltimore Police twitter feed was begging parents to go bring their looting children home.

The police, at the direction of the Mayor, retreated on Saturday night. That set the tone.

    Baltimore is fucked tonight.

I love looting, mainly because the looters are too dumb to realize that business liability insurance pays for any losses or damages. Then the insurance company pays out a big check and the business owner....moves to another location and builds again, because the premium is too high to rebuild the old place. Or they take the money, run and don't rebuild. So now your community has one less pizza place, one less 7-11, and a few less jobs.

    Well done, idiots.

I can't believe they haven't postponed the O's game yet. Instead they are letting fans in one particular gate while police in riot gear guard Camden Yards.

The commissioner is in town, why isn't he telling them to call it off?

Wait - are they letting traffic through this area like nothing's going on?

Now they have closes all the gated at Camden Yards, but not before 600 fans went in.

Are cops being shot or are black people being shot? Just wondering which direction this thread will break.
