    If you are motivated more by starting pay than prospects, move on.
    But if you enjoy debating topics such as who is the best two-way talent in college baseball, there is no better place to work.

    BA doesn't expect you to stay forever. It's not set up that way. If it paid like SI, the job wouldn't be open. We'd all still be there.

    BA is a launching pad; consider it grad school. Its reputation as an industry leader opens doors. Plenty of us have jumped to major metros and are paid accordingly. Schwarz is the best example, but Berardino is a columnist at the S-S, and there's no way I'm doing what I'm doing without BA. So you won't eat at Ruth's Chris while you're there. You will later.

    Really, all you need to know about BA is most of us still consider it the most enjoyable job we've had. Brownbag lunches and all.
