    If they sign CC -- CC, Joba, Hughes.

    If (IF!) Hughes stops being a headcase, they have a really, really good rotation.

    Joba... 12 big league starts, arm injury, DUI. total unproven
    Hughes... epic fail last year, organization questioning his heart.
    Wang..coming off injury, chokes in big spots.
    Kennedy ... laughable

    Sorry to jack your thread, Gola.

    OK, sensei, here we go:

    Those cards fall into place a lot better with CC at the front of the rotation.

    Wang won't be expected to be the big horse anymore, and at worst you need him to be your No. 2 -- possibly your No. 3.

    Joba was absolutely lights-out in most of those 12 starts. Far from a lengthy track record, but unproven is way harsh.

    Can you really go wrong with Hughes as your No. 4? After Girardi salvaged something for Farnsworth, he's won me over in regards to thinking that he can work with Hughes.

    This all comes from a guy who would love to see the Yankees finish third, again, but it ain't happening unless the offense totally craps the bed.
