They'd have to be in the $40,000 range for me. Money aside, good people to work with there. Any chance of that big a bump, Toby?

Damn, wait...I thought the circulation was about 5,000 more.

    Well, I can wish, can't I?

For whatever it's worth, I fully believe this position pays pretty well compared to the cost of living. It sounds like a pretty neat opportunity. Toby, any chance you could provide a timeline on when the position will be filled? Also, I'm wondering how many applicants you have had...

Utica Club would be nice Toby. I know that's a favorite.

And I'll second that. As good as they come.

Toby's a really good guy with solid ties around the country. Definitely worth it for someone wanting to shape a section and move on in a few years. The pay is probably better there than at other midwest papers with comparable circulations.

From what he wrote, I tend to agree with your opinion

Good paper, nice little corner of the world. Memphis and St. Louis reasonably accessible from here. Would be a great job for somebody wanting to make that next hop up into management.

I don't suppose anyone has heard anything about this one? It's been a few weeks since it was posted.

  11. I've heard Toby wants to make an offer by the end of the month.
