Artie Lange: unfunny pig, or unfunniest pig ever?

Never could stand the guy. But even his followers are going to have a tough time with this one -- a series of tweets about masturbating while fantasizing that Cari Champion, the black woman on First Take, is his slave.

Maybe Artie and Lena Dunham can write a book together.

 

Or maybe we can just start ignoring the 'outrageous' things these people say.

The fact that it's out there for Champion to deal with is pretty reprehensible.

 

Lena Dunham touching her sister's genitalia = making a slavery joke? Huh?

I don't see the problem here. He was making a joke about slavery, setting up some dumb fantasy situation to try to be funny. It's not very funny, but so what?

Would you like it if we didn't talk about slavery at all? What else can't we make fun of?

 

The outrage is that he watches First Take, right?

 

So........... lemme' see if I have this straight:

Him tweeting jokes about jerking it to a female TV personality = inappropriate.
Us (myself included) doing it here when Stephanie Abrams appears during hurricane season = just damn fine.

 

I have to plead ignorance on that. I don't know who Stephanie Abrams is.

What grabbed me about this one was not the jerking off so much as the slavery/rape thing.

Lange fried his brain with drugs. He was only slightly unfunny before all of this.

 

If Artie gets this worked up over First Take pray he doesn't stumble onto the Weather Channel on a day that Alex Wilson, Steph or Jen Delgado are on.

 

He's as crude as you get, but there aren't many comics out there as beloved as him.

I've seen him live twice, once at the Cellar when he was just working out material and later when it was he was with Attell at a casino near where I used to live.

He was so great on Stern.
