The credability of the marine's account is in question. First, comes the restraining order posted earlier. And here is the account from the bar's staff:

So you have this marine saying he was jumping in to help another guy who was getting beat on one hand.

On the other hand, you have an ex-girlfriend filing a restraining order against the marine for actions that happened that night. You have the bar staff saying they had to kick him out of the bar. And you have more staff that say he lied about his account of what happened in the parking lot, that in reality he started the fight and the pickup driver drove into the fracas to participate.

Again, this thing's going to be a mess.

 

LSU's usual Pro Bono lawyer for the dirty stuff wants $$$... that speaks volumes

 

I don't think that's the case. I think he offered to work for free, but LSU's compliance staff is now advising against it.

 

I guess Auburn paying 85 grand for a DB last year (allegedly of course) has got everyone a little skittish

Not that this absolves any football player who might have taken a cheap shot, but like I said, this story will get more complex.
