Are you a team player? The Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the largest newspaper in South Dakota with a weekday circulation of 53,000 and a Sunday circulation of 73,000 is looking to add a sports copy editor to its team.

Applicants must have the ability to handle a variety of tasks including page design, line editing, proofing and working with the newspaper’s Web site. The opportunity for an occasional writing assignment is also part of the position. A strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple tasks during a shift, and the ability to work closely with others in a team environment are musts. Experience with QuarkXPress is preferred but not mandatory.

Please send resumes and clips to Argus Leader sports editor, P.O. Box 5034, Sioux Falls, S.D., 57117-5034

Design listed first = not a copy editing position.

Is that written in stone? Doubt it.

Doesn't have to be. Just as a columnist doesn't say: "I feel this because ..." at the start of every sentence.

It's an opinion, stated bluntly. Deal with it.
