Does age affect tolerance for pain?

You are correct sir. I didn't realize it was even an option to have anesthesia beforehand. I still wouldn't do it though. That shit scares me worse than the pain.

 

In my case, the drug was a sedative. It didn't produce complete unconsciousness; I just sort of dozed through the procedure. The nurse had to wake me up a couple of times to remind me to breathe more deeply.

 

Yikes! You're a better man, or woman, than I. I could barely handle a sigmoidoscopy. You never want to hear your doctor murmur, "What do I do now" with a probe up your ass.
