Are you addicted to copy editing?

Earlier today, the upstairs dog got a hold of my MP3 player and chewed all the controls off, lovely little mutt that she is. I've been fortunate with my Shep. He's neither a chewer, nor a digger.

So Leanne, my neighbour, landlord and friend, bought me a new player. But I've had to re-download a lot of songs.

Here I sit, copy editing the song titles and properties. Because God forbid an 'of' or a 'the' should be capitalized or a contraction should appear on my screen without its apostrophe in place.

    I'm ill. I need help.

I'm the exact same way...I feel your pain.

    Exact same is redundant.

But I am not addicted to copy editing (as my typing sometimes shows)

I'm addicted to writing, not copyediting.

I feel your pain, though. It's hard to turn this job off.

I'm getting back into writing ... difference now is I make time to write for myself.

Also, a good change from the ellipses to the period.

Now, about that "I feel your pain" cliche ...
