In a few weeks, on the APSE website, we'll publish the top 5 winning stories for every contest category and we'll publish some of the best design work from the sections that finished in the top 10. And we'll have comments from sports editors about their sections.

It has taken time because I have carpal tunnel from e-mailing everyone for their stories.

Does Mitch now abstain from entering so as to give the little people a chance?

Or does he hide in shame after being revealed as a fabricator?

I don't think Mitch enters. The Freep does.

So his paper chooses not to enter his stuff?

Or maybe the judges have a bias against fabricators.

Be interesting to hear if his stuff was in the mix.

I'm sure the Freep enters his stuff in every category it can.

How, then, does the greatest multiple winner in APSE history not even draw honorable mention anywhere?

Does his sports editor bitch about bias?

Cause sometimes, reputation just isn't enough...
He usually doesn't fare too well on a regular basis in the Michigan Press Association either Some years good, some years nothin.

Geoff Calkins is one of my all-time favorites.

And congrats to his comrade in Wichita, Scott Paske, who got a first place for game story despite the fact that he spends much of his time on desk. Great guy, glad to see him get that recognition.

I thought every Jewish mother (including mine, including my wife's) invited their kids home a seder. :D
