Heh. The Black Muslims cleaned up a neighborhood across the street from where I lived in NoVa.

Somebody pulled a shotgun on one of them ... and their guy, bowtie and all, took the gun away and whipped him with it.

They have a ... complicated legacy.

I just watched the people vs. Larry Flynt the other day. I think that's a great movie.

My question is -- didn't Falwell and Flynt become somewhat friendly in recent years?

And of course, the moronic commentary starts. Least you could have done is spelled it right. For a liberal, that's a cardinal sin....not that words mean anything, just make sure you say and spell them accurately.

    Falwell is a good man.

Yes. Indeed, Larry Flynt tells the story of how he gave Jerry Falwell's family a ride on his private jet after they both spoke at a conference once -- and Falwell's family asked for autographs.

Just to pick a nit in that report, the school was founded in 1971 by Falwell, well before he became the face of the religious right in the 1980s. Anyway, I see and deal with the guy a lot, and he's certainly not in the best of shape, so anything like a heartattack wouldn't surprise me in the least. And he's not as much of an ass as some would make him out to be. Just a human being, really.

Had the pleasure of interviewing Rev. Falwell at Liberty U. A very busy man, the interview was constantly interrupted with cell phone calls. But he gave me an hour of his time.
In recent years, he was packing on the pounds.
    I hope he gets better.

Nice asshole, karam's a bitch. Regardless of what you may think of him and his politics, show some class.

RIP – though not if Sportsbruh has anything to say about it, I guess.
