The FWAA, APSE and other groups need to band together and get legal representation to help re-shape some definitions of terms. Letting the SEC and NCAA define "real time" is a passive mistake of the worst kind. The whole "you can't post real-time descriptions" nonsense is utter bullshit. I've posted my argument before, and there's no point preaching to the choir here about it, but I really think papers and others need legal representation to fight some of these definitions of terminology.

Trust me, I know. I deal with lawyers every day, and terminology in my line of work -- EVERY line of work, really -- is big-time important.

Doesn't this mean since Gannett did it that CNHI will follow?

Probably not in this instance, since a good chunk of the hides of CNHI employees help fund the Alabama Crimson Tide and a luxury suite at games.

In short ... SEC: "We fucked up ... sorry. Here's 95 percent of that stupid ol' 'rough draft' policy back!"

We hear the AP is quietly preparing to tell members there will be no photo coverage of games at SEC sites next weekend.
