She shouldn’t have been out of the house at that hour ... she was just asking for trouble.

 

Was the highway closed for the protest?

Was the truck someplace it shouldn't have been?

I don't see any other vehicles in the video.

Certainly doesn't justify anything. But might explain it.

Same. Except much faster. Hopefully reach an overpass before the one jackass on top of the trailer can jump off.
Once they start beating on the vehicle and trying to open doors, I think you have a reasonable expectation that your life is in danger. That could actually be considered an attempted carjacking, could it not?

State patrol barricades to close the highway went up after the truck was already past. But if you look at the earlier video, it seems like the driver panicked and tried to floor it through the crowd. That's likely why they were so upset.

Truck driver was arrested, then released.
