We love you markvid, but you're a little behind. See pages 18-20 of the thread.

I think this might warrant a thread of its own. I mean, I've NEVER heard anything like that during such a key moment in a game.

I guess he was trying to be funny and off the cuff, but it bombed so drastically.

The best part was Blackledge's dumbfounded response.

Has Patrick explained himself yet? Did he think they'd gone to commercial? Was he trying to be funny?

I was watching it... I have thought about it for a day, the only thing I can think of was that the game was so good, he was trying to be funny talking about something completely off topic.

    It was bizarre.

He told USA Today he was trying to be funny.
He's probably rethinking that one today.

He was making a joke. It didn't work. No big deal. It's just a football game.
    Life goes on.

I don't think anyone ever said it was more than a football game or a "big deal." Ninety-five percent of the topics on these boards could never be considered "big deals." Doesn't mean we can't enjoy them.

Do you always like taking the contrarian point of view, just to generate discussion? I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious. Either way, it's no "big deal" to me.
