Anyone read this letter by Mickey Mantle....

Damn, I love my '61 Topps Mickey Mantle than I've ever been. Mickey was the man!

I believe this has been discussed before here and there's no proof this letter was written by Mantle (or no proof that it was not written by Mantle, if you want to go that route).

 

So? It probably did happen at some point, too.

 

I don't know if the Mick wrote it, but isn't it pretty to think so?

 

It's been floating around the Yankee Offices for at least 6 months. Purportedly dug up when the Yankees were searching the archives for memorabilia for Steiner sports to auction off.

 

Such a fantastic letter. I did get a kick out of the grammar landmine in the first section, which could be construed as "I got a hummer from the Yankee bullpen."

 

For my own benefit and fondness of Mantle, I'm pretending its true.

 

You were fondled by Mickey Mantle?? WTF . He has been accused of a lot of things but that is first time I've heard of him being accused of being a pedophile
