Anyone have tips on how to clean a floor?

I'm moving out of my apartment today and have a question.

My kitchen and bathroom floor are VERY DIRTY. Are there any products out there that would completely tear off the grime, but not ruin the (linoleum) floors?

    Thanks.

Normal mopping should work. Just get any of the cleaners with the mop and it should clean it right up.

I'm a big believer in a 1:5 bleach to water mix.

This morning I woke up with nothing covering the bottom half of me.

There do appear to be cloth products that approximate my legs and lower torso hanging in this smaller room directly off of the room where I sleep.

    Can anyone help me out?

Regular weekly or bi-weekly moppings (hell, even monthly) would have done the trick.

Why choose to live in dirty conditions?

Of course, this answer could change if it was a single event that dirtied the floor so bad, but I'm guessing it's just a lack of regular cleaning.

  6. If you can handle it, you can use ammonia and hot (as hot as you can stand it) water.

Some liquid out of an overheating Saturn should do the trick. :)

Hank, you raise a good point.

    Zeke, well done.

T_B_F, I'll see how that works.

Spup, it's beyond PineSol right now.

I knew you'd take it in the spirit it was intended, Rumple.

And I'd go with ammonia or bleach.

You're moving out. Give it a decent once-over, and let the new folks worry about it.

Nothing is beyond Pine Sol. And if it really is beyond Pine Sol ...
