You last used a plain old telephone system modem (not cable, not DSL) when?

I've never used a dial-up. My parents didn't want anything to tie up the lines, so I've been lucky enough to have to high-speed shit since 1997.

I had to use AOL for my Mac during a Christmas trip back home b/c the folks don't have anything resembling hi-speed.

And I used it a couple times to file from B.F.E. while helping on HS Football in the fall.

I made the switch about 18 months ago, but Ms. Slappy still uses dialup at her parents house.

No modem since I first purchased a computer in early 1998.

I've been using high speed since 2002. I hated my parents for having dialup for years.

I hated my parents for having my little brother. I'd have traded you my little brother and my high-speed for your dial-up.

No deal! I already had a brother and sister (twins) that are two years younger than me.

But my brother is 18 now, and he's a lot of fun. Really, he is. You can still have him. I'll even throw in a bottle of liquor of your choice.

The place I get my hair cut still uses an external dial-up modem on its credit card machine. Makes me laugh nostalgically about the mid-to-late 1990s every time I see it.
