Any good cheap mp3/media players that aren't iPods?

Which Walkman are you talking about? The Walkman stick one I got (2MB) does not use any special software, you just use the Windows Explorer and drag and click, as if you are just shifting files. Easy.

It's the NW-E013 that uses the SonicStage software.

Just got me one of these beauts, and without reading this thread! I got a 4GB e260 and I am already in love. I was thinking I could get a 2GB one for around $60 at Best Buy, as that was the price online. But they didn't have that one at that price at the store. But with a $25 BB gift certificate and a $25 cash card from Christmas, I splurged on the 4 GB one that ran $119. I'm already overjoyed with the extra song capability as I put 260 songs on it so far.

I've been running with a 1 GB Sandisk on my arm for about 2 1/2 years. I keep hoping it will die so I can buy something newer, but it keeps plugging. Holds about 140 songs.

I have a 1 GB Creative Stone which is about the size of a quarter- love it.

What I like about it is that its plug and play - no extra software needed of you have Window Media ( WMA)
