Who is the top player in the 2008 NBA Draft? Hope he likes winters in Minnetonka.

It doesn't matter. They'll just trade him away, and he'll win the Rookie of the Year (Brandon Roy).

Too bad 'twoine and Pierce couldn't win one together. I still maintain, vehemently, that the Celtics of 6-7 years ago were only one player away from being serious contenders. That player was center Vlade Divac. The C's should've dumped Radja and gotten Divac, one of the best big men I've ever watched, starting back when Magic had to coddle him along on the court.

Will someone let McHale in on the apparently little known fact in Minny that the Celtics have been terrible the past few years? Building your team around the remnants of a cellar-dweller doesn't seem to be the best philosophy.

McHale did get a lot of young talent in the KG swap. Jefferson is going to be a force in the middle for a while and West is a good shooter. Gomes and Green are also very talented.

Vlade was one of the best big men you've ever watched? Seriously?

He passes up on 3s like he does with trips to the buffet line.

In his 10 year career, 'Toine is 1,325 for 4,076 from beyond the arc. If he puts up 407 per year, I wouldn't call him trigger shy.

Presuming Hammer thought that didn't need blue font, it was so blatant.

And they formed a team that won 20-something games last year. Jefferson is going to be very good, West and Gomes would be great role players on a good team, but aren't anything to build around and Green looks more like a Darius Miles than a Tracy McGrady like some people predicted. McHale did get talent in that deal, but it's going to be a long year (or more) in Minny.

Delonte West was involved in the Ray Allen deal, not the KG one.

That's right. Delonte is going to be stacked behind that growing list of PGs in Seattle. It's going to be hard for him to find the floor.

Jefferson should be a top center in the league in the next couple of years. Boobie, I would say because of the flare, Green is more of a Darius Miles, but he showed signs of emerging at the end of last year when he got playing time. Give him a solid year starting and you will see how is able to do. Minnesota is going to turn into the Chicago Bulls of a few years ago, same thing with the Charlotte Bobcats. Young team, but loaded with talent and ready to make a splash in due time.
