    Sadly, this isn't all that rare.

    When my mother was a high school administrator she was taking a weapon a week of kids, usually knives. The stockpile is certainly a big deal, but it's not rare.

    I know a couple people who were personally affected by the Red Lake School shootings back in March 2005 and it's absolutely horrible what they've had to live with.
