Great pull, Dools ... beat me to it. Also, "Angry Young Man" should be included with Mr. Joel.

    Also:
    "I Don't Care Anymore" - Phil Collins
"Do You Know, Do You Care?" - Phil Collins
    "In The Cage" - Genesis
"Just a Job To Do" - Genesis

I don't know much Soul Asylum, but based on the title of this song, I have to look it up.

"Song for the Dumped" -- Ben Folds Five

(And what's funny is that the three songs mentioned in the angry/sad songs lists -- Brick, Song for the Dumped and Selfless, Cold and Composed -- are consecutive tracks on "Whatever and Ever, Amen.")

"Orange Rolls, Angels Spit" by Sonic Youth
"Stigmata" by Ministry (the live version is extra nice -- Al Jourgeson starts screaming obscenities about everyone from Jesus to Manuel Noriega)
    "Gutless" by Hole
"Gave Up" by Nine Inch Nails
"The Fight Song" by Marilyn Manson
    "Pushin' Weight" by Ice Cube

A song in which the anger is subtle, but very much present: "The Last Word," Mary Chapin Carpenter.

"Kerosene" -- Miranda Lambert (first time I heard it was at karaoke. Instantly fell in love with it.)
