Angel of death cat at nursing home

When my ungrateful not-born-yet kids ship me off to a nursing home, I'd love to go to one with a cat -- even Kevorkian cat.

    Cats are good people.

Am I a cynical asshole for thinking that story was a little silly? Jesus, a cat doesn't know when you're going to die. It's a coincidence! That's not news!

(Note: I am superstitious as all get out. And I like cats well enough)

Boston Globe story was 38 inches.

I read them both and wondered if they were about the same cat:

AP: (Dr. David) Dosa said Oscar seems to take his work seriously and is generally aloof. “This is not a cat that’s friendly to people,” he said.

Globe: A gregarious cat, quick to solicit ear scratches from a visitor, Oscar can be clownish at times.

Dosa must be a dog person. :D

You sure? There are studies that show dogs can detect cancer in people.

I've heard of dolphins that will nudge people in a spot that turns out to have a tumor, but not dogs detecting cancer.

    Great story.

Can't wait for the folo on the dog that eats the shit after the patients die and void their bowels...

I believe the dog thing had to do with the animal picking up a particular scent from bladder-cancer patients.

    Death Cat for (Old) Cootie?

  11. This just proves my theory that dying people smell like tuna ...
