Anderson Silva's leg was not supposed to do that

I don't care anything about UFC, but ran across this because of the whole Buffalo Wild Wings hubbub.

Anderson Silva, one of the greatest UFC fighters ever, suffered one of the more gruesome broken legs you'll see in last night's fight vs. Chris Weidman.

You were warned:

 

Good lord.

 

Don't you just hate it when a mild-mannered participant in such a wholesome sport suffers a gruesome, possibly career-ending injury completely out of the blue?

 

It's enough to make me continue my personal UFC ban.

 

A few years ago I was on vacation with my dad and he turned some UFC thing on the TV. He enjoys it. I told him I just couldn't get past the brutality of it. He explained very emphatically that it isn't brutal at all, and it's a misconception from people who don't understand it.

While he was saying that to me, guys were using giant squeegees to clean the blood out of the ring.

I wasn't aware Sid Vicious became an MMA fighter.

 

Now I wish I had streamed the fights last night.

 

His leg looked like rubber.

 

I'm sure that shut Silva up.
