Amanda Beard was in the local newspaper office after the 1996 Olympics because she was from Irvine, Calif., and our paper was doing a big story on her. She was shy, not exactly good looking but ... DAMN, she's blossomed!

Considering that Amanda was, um, 14 when she competed in Atlanta, yeah, I would say that she's probably changed a bit. Sorry that she was not quite your idea of beautiful yet when she was in the eighth grade.

I've been a loyal reader of Mr. Hefner's magazine - and yes, I read it – since I was too young to buy it on the newsstand.

But you know, I drew the line at buying the Anna Nicole tribute issue that's out right now.

They've always had this creepy thing about their dead Playmates.

I will probably check out Ms. Beard's issue, though.

It always disturbs me when I see a woman's first name with a last name derived from a male body part. Guess that's why I broke it off with Jenny Schlong.

    Is beard a body part?

Meat, didn't she used to hang out with Alison Nutzak?

No, but I couldn't come up with the right term. Male accoutrement? Male feature? Male thingy doesn't work for obvious reasons.

    Why not Maria Sharapova?

Your use of broke, off, and schlong in the same sentence is quite disturbing to me.
