No room in the rotation for Henry Wiggen from Bang the Drum Slowly?

And even though his ERA couldn't be higher, I'd take a chance on the closer from the Pirates from The Natural. He's like a young Nolan Ryan. Or Roy Hobbs.

We might have to make room for Wiggen...wasn't he a lefty?

Pinch-runner has to be the kid who steals home in, uh, "Stealing Home."

Yeah, but if you at least kept him on the roster, everyone could bang his wife.

Broadcasters are either Harry Doyle and Monty, or every broadcaster from every movie ever, all together in a big booth.

I personally think we should be playing at Knights Park (or Field, I can't remember what it's called), but Field of Dreams is solid too.

And I gotta go with Buttermaker as the manager.

And shouldn't Darryl Palmer be on the team? Christ, he hit 62 homers in a season, didn't he? Baaaad movie.

What about Joe Riggins and Larry Hockett for the managment team?

Only if we can get the wife to promise not to leave him again.

  9. I've got Oscar Madison sitting in the press box covering the whole thing for posterity.

Stealing home pinch runner was Billy Wyatt of Carlton Academy. My memory is good for about eight days and that movie was on cable on Sunday. Alan Applebee his teammate played by Jonathan Silverman/Harold Ramis probably doesn't make the cut.

I'd have the Whammer as my DH

Whammer ain't clutch. But he sure did look different in street clothes.

Does Max Mercy cover this team for the local rag?
