All of the sudden, Clinton looking not-so-unelectable

    Clinton carried Montana for his re-election.

    And Lymon, Montana did take a very hard turn back to the center in 2004. They'd had a GOP gov, house and Senate (as well as several other statewide elected offices were GOP), and they went to everything but one statewide office being Dem. Course the Dems in Montana are damned different than the Dems back East.
     
  2. Well, I'd say if it was a real turn to the center, the offices would be split more evenly. But your point about Montana Dems not being like national Dems is spot on, at least from the perspective of someone who doesn't live there.

    I think I've said before that Schweitzer is a Dem I could support.

    The Dems aren't leftists, hence a turn to the center ;)

    Most politicians in Montana tend toward libertarianism, and not just the Dems.
