But they will play eight homes games every year and four of those would be a rotation of teams that would only be there once every eight years, and would make the trip more desirable.

Good luck running a franchise built on a business model of half the stadium being filled with fans of the visiting team.

    What's the Raiders' better option?

"Certain sections" I guess just became half the stands.

If the Chargers can't get a new stadium in San Diego, the Raiders sure as hell aren't getting a new one.

Hey, the Patriots used to only sell out when the Giants (and maybe the Jets and Dolphins) came to town.

No question, every casino will have a suite to entertain high rollers. That'll be the easiest sell in the stadium. But yeah, I can't see casinos handing out comped tickets by the fistfuls -- why would they when free food and shows are enough? I'm sure I'd like to say I had a free ticket, but once I'm out there and the sports book is within arm's length and halftime craps beckons, I'm passing on NFL traffic and drunks every time.

    Exactly.

If given the option between attending an NFL game in person and spending the Sunday in a LV sports book, the sports book wins every time.

Would it be a smart move for the NFL to approve LV? I think so as it's a growing market and has been for 20 years.

It depends on if a casino owns any potential stadium. You can be certain the MGM will be happy to comp as many people as it can for its new arena -- the one that will host an NHL team.

What if they're allowed to put slot machines in the stadium? That would be a game changer.
