I fail to understand how this is a story -- except for the Drudge/Washington Times set. Post 9-11, the Speaker gets a military jet. The security people in the House wanted her to have one that didn't need to refuel when she made the trip. End of story.

 

Please, someone tell her just to ride her broom stick back to San Fran. Though I am sorry a house landed on her sister.

 

1) Republicans have nothing these days.
2) The national political press sucks pond water.

 

I don't normally get involved in political debates, but this is stupid. The lady is second in line of presidential succession so of course she should have a plane that could get her home without stopping (the last one only had to fly to North Carolina).

Don't punish her just because she is from the west coast.

(and yes, I am a republican).
