Again, another example of why gay rights just isn't the stopping point.

Free speech doesn't mean free from the repercussions of the speech, dog. No one says she can't say it. But she has to live with the fallout.

It seems like you believe she should be free to express herself, but anyone who calls for her termination shouldn't be afforded the same right to free speech.

    You can say it.

    You clearly can't understand it.

I agree with that. I've said some pretty radical things, but always have been willing to accept the fallout --- up to and including job termination --- as a result. That is standing by your principles.

Nobody's talking about throwing her in jail. While she may not be speaking for the school system, the school system does have a right to decide if someone who says things like that should be teaching children.

I agree. I don't know where the idea that anyone has a guaranteed right to a job started.

Legally, does the fact that she's a government employee make a difference?

Poor teachers who are just honest with their thoughts, thrown out by the very church who benefitted from their work while they didn't know they like people who have teh gay. And now, the gay hating leaders are calling for the dismissal of thiese people. Forget their job performance record as the basis of whether they keep their jobs.

Seriously, those who preach tolerance show their intolerance, or selective tolerance, of those who don't agree with them.
