Advice for athletes dealing with the media

    +1 on that last point. I run into this a lot in post game interviews. Another reporter will ask "So, have you ever run for 300 yards in a game before? How many yards have you rushed for this season? Was this a unique performance, or are you the team's leading rusher?" Hey guy, I'm on deadline too, and I'd like to ask some real questions. Not questions that you could have answered with one simple online search of the kid's name that would have led to a website with all those stats and anything else you could want to know on it. I guess you didn't have time to do that while you stared at your computer for an hour before kickoff, then three hours during the game, and then stared at your phone for 15 minutes after the game while waiting for the interviews to begin.
