    I almost think it might have been MLB leaning on ESPN about the news getting out - not so much the news but the reasons behind the deal. It would have come out eventually that ESPN wasn't bringing back a baseball show.

    I don't want to kick a guy when he's down, but if I lost a great job and ascendant career for leaking to some Web site, I'd have a hard time not biting my own fingers off.

    Was told by someone who should know that his new contract, which he is not getting severance from, was for one million smackers a year. Biting your own fingers is just a start.

    Can I just say - if you value someone enough to pay him a mil a year - I would think you would let this slide. They let a lot of worse stuff slide in the past.
