According to Notre Dame, Charlie Weis' bad seasons never happened

In their media guide and prospectus sections on Charlie Weis, where it lists the year-by-year biography on him, they include every winning season and leave out any mention of a losing season. Seriously. Their explanation is even more asinine.

I think ND often gets piled on unnecessarily, but after seeing things like this, they've got every bit of shit possible coming their way.

Sorry if this is a D_B. I did a quick look and didn't see it mentioned.

The explanations are pretty weak. They're going to get far more bad press for leaving out those losing records than Weis ever would have gotten for leaving them in. What's the logic?

Someone who was on that "deadline pressure" needs to get fired.

Wow. That's some pretty stupid logic.

Oh, it was a "space" decision. In a media guide.

They left out the other losing seasons in the pros, but included winning seasons when he was an assistant.

I'm looking for a word to describe this: cheesy, arrogant, shady, dumb.

    Fraudulent and insulting work, too.

Every reporter who covers Notre Dame this season should include Weis's record in every single story all season.

This is stupid. It's going to be even more lame if Weis get canned if his team can't produce better than a .500 record this year, too.

    Exactly.

Why go out of your way to look stupid/worse?

When King Dork takes the ND job, prepare for the same thing to occur...only with a more sufficient excuse. Like, Urban Meyer didn't wanna.

Parcells says "you are what your record says you are."

And the Notre Dame media guide says Weis is awesome!

No space? In a school notorious for putting out 1,000-page media guides?

I know Obama had a crack about the football team at the fundraiser he had after his Notre Dame appearance, but I think he could have smoothed things over with protestors more had he started his graduation speech: "You want to talk about abortion? I'll talk about abortion -- like that football team! Am I right? Am I right?"
