The games are rotated between Pocatello, Moscow or Boise depending on the locations of the schools involved and/or which region had the 'home' field advantage most recently.

Well, you'll have to come to Utah for the 'procedure.'

    So I suppose that's a hidden cost.

So if you win and get snipped, does that mean you'd be able to last twice as long?

    My picks:

5A - Highland - the Rams are used to playing indoors and on turf
4A - BK - Poky ain't used to playing on a sheet of ice and BK is better at recruiting
3A - Fruitland - Because Bear Lake was in the same bracket as Buhl
    2A - Firth - Homefield advantage
1AI - Genessee, because Raft River sucks
    1AII - Salmon River - they're savages.

Highland, those golf pansies from Coeur d'Alene can hang with Highland

    4A -- 11/17, 7 p.m.
Pocatello vs. Bishop Kelly in Boise
Bishop Kelly, those damn Catholics and their recruiting

    3A -- 11/16, 7:30 p.m.
    Buhl vs. Fruitland in Boise
Buhl. Those kids from Fruitland are a bunch of fruits.

    2A -- 11/17, 8:45 p.m.
    Kamiah vs. Firth in Pocatello
    Firth of Fourth

    1A DI -- 11/17, 4 p.m.
    Genessee vs. Council in Moscow
Genessee, they're getting back together (oops, that's Genesis)

    1A DII -- 11/17, 6 p.m.
Salmon River vs. Carey in Pocatello
Carey, because Drew is going to sing the national anthem.

I don't know about 5, 4, 2 or Div. I, but here are my picks:

    Class 1A DII -- Carey.
Salmon River will be lucky to suit up 10 kids and Carey's entire roster is 100 percent. Odd for that this late in the season, but it's the fact of the matter. Carey has more proven depth at skills positions. D.J. Simpson has a lot of options from behind center. Coach Lane Kirkland could pick up his first title here, eight years after his father won his second as head coach at Carey.

    Class 3A -- Buhl.
Buhl is very hungry for this. Though they probably should have lost weeks ago, they don't know how to quit. They were down by 14 after a quarter against Shelley and came back to win by 19. They're small, but they hit people hard. The run is solid, but not spectacular. Expect many TDs to come from the arm of Austin Laing. The Jerome loss shouldn't be too surprising considering that Wilson was a Krumm assistant when Krumm was at Buhl. They know each other well. After Twin Falls' dismal 0-9 run this year, Buhl is the football capital of the south-central Idaho area.

On a side note, Raft River was a real letdown this year. Choke!

Once I get my PS3, I'm going to get Idaho's kids to help me program these bad boys into Madden 2007 and find out who will win. :D

    Until then, my picks ...

Oh wait ... hey Modaho, we need nicknames!
