    Ben Reiter, from New York.
In the lead at the first break.

I don't know him. They just did their cute little intro and didn't say what paper.

He's fallen way behind since my first post.

He needs to work smarter, not harder.

    Google says SI.com.

We've already moved on to Wheel.

He got to pick first on Double Jeopardy!
But he's rolling now - just picked a daily double, got it right and took the lead.
Now they have a sports category. He ought to kick some ass.

He's 400 behind going into final.

Lost 13,000 of 13,600 in final, the defender got it right. Our guy fell to third.
Our guy's answer was the same as mine (and we were both wrong, though I knew it when I came up with it. I just had nothing else. Don't know what's up with his answer).

  9. Hopefully he won't be the only sports writer to appear on the show in 2009. ;D

Yea, I thought Napoleon at first when I saw the clue, but knew it was way too late for Napoleon.

He should have pulled the Cliff Claven answer.
