    This is the day that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated in Memphis, Tn.

    U2 once saved my ass in college when I completely blanked on the date of MLK's assassination. Started inaudibly humming Pride, and boom, I had my answer. Whew.

    I remember watching Gunsmoke when Walter Cronkite interrupted the broadcast with the news he was shot.
