Milwaukee TV station decides to do a story on ice safety, but "photojournalist" accidentally drives through station's broadcast van through the ice on a lake herself in the process.

    Truck's still stuck.

Estimated cost: probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $300,000 once they fish it out.

This was within a mile of my my house. When I heard it on the news, I took a trip to see it. Not too good... I'm not sure what exactly they were trying to film, but someone should have passed along that 9 degrees for three days /= 3 feet of ice.

They yanked it from the water today. I wonder if it's a complete loss, or they can just put a bunch of hair dryers on it to dry it out. Fun in the suburbs!

Uh ... most the equipment inside is totaled. It's a wonder no one was shocked with all the electrical gadgets in those things.
