    Happy 63rd birthday, coach Fox!

Coach Hayden Fox: You graduated from college and now you won't wash my car?
    Dauber: Uh-Huh
Coach Hayden Fox: You see, this is why I hate education.

The plot for every episode: Fox acts like a dick, then learns his lesson.

Then how come Hayden Fox ends up coaching men's figure skating?

Whatever happened to Coach Fox? Didn't he eventually leave Minnesota State for a job in the pros?

That was an underrated show. And it had one of the great unexpected twists of all-time when Bob Golic appears as the player whose steroid use is leading to his death. Fox is blaming himself for it and his girlfriend/wife is telling him not to be so self-critical.

Hayden's GF: "But it's not your faut. You couldn't have known."
    Fox: "But I did."

End of show. Damn. That was one punch to the gut. My dad and I were silent for about 10 minutes afterward.

The show jumped the shark when Fox went to the pros, but like most 1980s shows, there was one really solid, drama-infused episode for every 3 silly ones. And Shelley Fabares...major milf.
