...I wonder how quickly he will be caught "advising the program"

I guess it's a step up from guy who was hired to tell Jim Caldwell not to call stupid timeouts when the other team has the ball at the end of a tie game replay consultant with the Colts, but how long before Akron gets nailed with some inane NCAA probation for this one?

Is it possible that their head coach at Akron is the third best coach employed by the university?

I'd take Tressel and Chuck Amato over Terry Bowden.

Well, he did take a paycut from $3.5 million down to $200K...but I see what you mean.

We really think Chuck Amato would outcoach Terry Bowden? Really?

That's just insane talk. Terry Bowden was the first coach to win every game in his first season at a school. (He's since been joined by Chris Petersen.) I think Terry was the best coach of Bobby Bowden's sons. He has a career record of 139-63, which does include time spent in divisions I-AA and II. The only reason he was fired by Auburn is because those idiots expect to win the national championship every year.

Of course he can..Bowden is too busy looking for a deep-fried sammich and tater tots with cheese

Amato wasn't making time with Bobby Lowder's daughter either.

And I didn't bring up Tressel. He could coach rings around the other two.
