Two of the Old Man's moments get me ... misreading "Fragile" on the leg lamp crate when it arrives, and the other is when the lamp gets broken and he's so angry he can barely talk and tells his wife "get me the glue." And when she tells him they're out of glue, he stammers back at her: "You used up all the glue ... on PURPOSE!" Those two moments and the Chinese restaurant scene are my favorites.

I watch a few times every year during the marathon. Kind of cool how a film that really made no impact at the box office has taken on a life of its own more than 20 years later. I didn't grow up in the 40s or in Indiana or in Ohio where it was shot, but the neighborhood in Cleveland where the house is located looks a lot like parts of my hometown. Feels comforting to watch at the holidays.

on Christmas Eve, my family had a nuclear meltdown. "Who was going to host the lunch or the dinner, etc". My little family was not involved (my wife doesn't celebrate Christmas) , so we cleared out and took safe cover.

What to do for our Christmas dinner?

You got it, Chinese take out. A lesson learned from ACS.
