    That was a whole lotta nothing. I spent 90 minutes watching CNN waiting for freeking something.

    That's the price we pay for being in "waiting for news to happen" mode instead of "reading about news after it happens" mode.

    Immediacy is cool and all, but you wind up with a lot of "Al Capone's vault" aftertaste.

    Rich Sanchez needs to be gagged, fired, disbarred, tarred and feathered, whatever. His coverage today was an embarrassment to cable news...and, yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds.

    Sanchez was live in Houston when Hurricane Ike hit in 2008. I stayed up all night to watch and root for Ike.
