Mortenson and his foundation respond. Outside gets advance copy.

Interesting. Everything they offered up was at least plausible.

It would have been nice if they offered up why there has only been one audited financial report in 14 years. Instead of the bullshit about the tax returns. I'm thinking if they really disputed the reporting of Krakauer and 60 Minutes, the rebuttal would have been more immediate and a hell of a lot more convincing.

Oh well. Mortenson has done plenty of good in the last decade and a half. He just also happens to be an egomaniac and a pathological liar.

Plausible deniability is the devil's handmaiden.

Attorney General's investigation press conference going on right now.

    Here's the report ... http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/celebrities/greg-mortenson/MONTANA-ATTORNEY-GENERALS-INVESTIGATIVE-REPORT-of-Greg-Mortenson-and-Central-Asia-Institute.html

Mortenson will have to repay $1m to CAI and step down from the board.

Suicide by blunt force trauma to the head?

    The fuck?

Only thing I can think is he jumped off a bridge or something like that. That would certainly cause blunt force trauma.

Krakauer checks back in, finds the charity is still wasteful and Mortenson still hasn't owned up to the lies.
