I'm with you Mizzou. No question that that it's not needed.
As to the thread itself, just look at the posts along here and ask does race matter? To many, it does.

Poo-poo the conversation all you want, it was on A1 of the new York Times:

A version of this article appeared in print on May 4, 2012, on page A1 of the New York edition with the headline: 4 Years Later, Race Is Still Issue for Some Voters.

I'm not saying the story isn't an issue, I just feel like people on both sides are starting "Hey, what are we going to fight about today?" threads...

Anyway I said my piece, I'll shut up.

    Go back to fighting...

I'm shocked you are not interested in an article discussing racism within the Democrat party. Shocked.

You don't see many articles feigning shock at racism within the Repube Party, because it's taken as an absolute baseline assumption.

I usually start the day by feeding the fish, hugging my wife and daughter and drinking some coffee.

Maybe I should start trolling google news for stories to post?

This is a dog bites man story.

New York Times A1. Didn't take long to "find", and didn't require google.

Hell, it's not only a baseline assumption, it's an entrance requirement.

Particularly for the Stepin Fetchits like Herman Cain and Allen West they trot out as their minstrel-show dancers -- even though they may look vaguely neegroidish on camera, as soon as they open their mouths they immediately launch into routines about how tough and brutal they are going to be on the other slacking moochers (you know, most of "those people") and how they aren't going to let anybody get away with anything.
