10-cent beer night at Cleveland Stadium.

I was 10 at the time and it remains one of the scariest times of my life.

One of the very, very few times I appreciated my father being 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds.

You gotta go more into that man. Did your dad kick some ass?

mustangj17: He sure did. I can still see him decking three different guys who tried to run through us to get over the wall en route to the Rangers bullpen.

Two years later, he started kicking my ass. Didn't enjoy his physical presence so much at that point.

Fans in the outfield were refilling straight from a Stroh's truck!

I've been wanting to hear the audio clips mentioned in that story for years.(C'mon for the sake of history someone put it on the web.)

And if any newsreel footage exists it might be the greatest thing ever.

As a side note, Cleveland punk rock bands from the 70s would often reference the stadium or the Indians in performances or recordings. Probably because of this event too.
