It's almost like the writers have completely given up:

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2007/09/tony-comes-back.html

"When “24” has its seventh season premiere on Jan. 13, Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) will somehow be miraculously resurrected."

    Are you kidding me?

There is a chance after all that he isn't dead. The same could be said for Curtis.

I've always liked Tony's character. Hell, I met him at the Kentucky Derby after they had finished filming Season 2 or 3. He was drunk off his ass and gave me $75 for opening the door and being nice to him and his entourage, but I still got to meet him and shake his hand and tell him how much I loved the show.

Good Lord, this is gonna suck.

And we've all noted this before: The only sign of finality on 24 is the silent clock. Unless you're a bad guy or a disposable character, in which case you are just plugged with bullets or nerve gas or nuclear waste.

    Isn't that the mother from Ocean's 12?

Didn't see Ocean's 12, but imdb says she was "Molly Star/Mrs. Caldwell"

Tony died in Season 5, right?

I'm all for it. He was probably my favorite character on the show besides Jack, so I'll certainly suspend my belief a bit and welcome him back.

Jack got the silent clock at the end of last season and I'm sure he's not dead.

I don't remember Curtis getting the silent clock last season either. Nor Michelle Dessler in season five.

The silent clock doesn't always signify death.

Did they ever kill off Chase from Season 3, or did he just go away when they thankfully decided that the lovely Elisha Cuthbert (hot as hell, but her acting makes Jessica Alba seem like Meryl Streep) could offer nothing further?

This comment from that blog sums it up nicely:

    "Two words: Zombie Tony.

As bad as last season was, I think they should completely abandon the pretense of realism and just bring on the zombies. It'd at least be significantly more entertaining.
