That's a bit of Flair genes right there. I like it.

He was a huge deal in the 70s in New York. I only remember him at the end of his career, when he’d mostly team up with Tito Santana.

    RIP

Pedro Morales was the intercontinental champion when I first started watching.

I think that was the first time I'd heard the word intercontinental. Cool word.

Took me a few years to understand that it meant more than one continent.

Still think this is the best looking belt they ever had:

I agree, though I would add one thing: Make it an elimination match. If Becky pins Charlotte and Rousey in the same match, she's made. Ronda and Charlotte don't lose any cred with a WM headlining loss, and either one would be a perfect foil for Becky going into SummerSlam.

Bottom line, the more marquee name in the women's division, the better, which is why it still needs to be Becky winning the belt at WM.

If they let Zack Ryder win the IC belt at Wrestlemania, you don't think they'd have Kofi shock the world at the Chamber, do you?

    It crossed my mind.

Also made me wonder how much of this was rewritten on the fly. Was Mustafa getting the Rollins gauntlet push tonight if he wasnt hurt?

Probably just slotted Kofi into Ali's spot, since they're similar high-flier underdogs.

Yeah, with a slight change in Ali being the underdog who gets no respect and Kofi being the guy who has waited 11 years for his chance.
Possibly, but a better story is that Kofi puts up another huge fight, gets screwed over, then it builds for him winning at WM.

He put on one helluva performance last night.
