2019 MLB Regular Season running thread

While missing first and second base.

 

Lazy reporting. This happens all the time. Angels have done it at least twice this season.
Example: Thursday 4/25 home vs. NYY. Next day, at Kansas City.

 

Kershaw is the active leader in career shutouts with 15 (332 starts). Babe Ruth had 17 career shutouts (147 starts)

Babe Ruth is underrated

 

Saw something tonight that I don’t think I had seen before. Runner on third. Roller to first. First baseman throws home for a tag play out at the plate. Catcher throws to first to get the batter, who stopped running upon seeing the first baseman field the grounder.
Thousands of bases loaded double plays when throw home results in a force, but I’ve never seen a tag play start at the plate start it.

After seeing this, though, I'm not sure I'd want to get in a bar fight with them.
